About

The GYC offers some of the finest sailing, shore and social facilities in the Channel Islands and we have unrivalled views over Castle Cornet, across the Little Russel to Herm, Jethou, Sark and beyond as well as St Peter Port harbour, Havelet bay, and the model yacht pond. The fantastic decking area is the perfect place to relax and catch up with friends after a day on the water.

Our dinghy park has access to two slipways, one into the main harbour and one into Havelet bay (currently closed for repair).

The Club's diverse membership, both in interest and age, means that there is something on offer for everyone, with a vibrant social side as well as offering a full racing programme for yachts and dinghies, as well as rallied for cruising yachts and motorboaters. The thriving junior section also uses the model yacht pond for training in Optimists before they venture out onto the sea.

We are an RYA Recognised Training Centre and we are able to offer a variety of courses and refreshers to members throughout the year.

The Club hosted the sailing and windsurfing events at the 2003 Island Games and is looking forward to hosting them again in 2023/ In addition, we also welcome many visiting regattas and rallies.
